Nigeria’s Flamingos have arrived safely in Casablanca, Morocco, ahead of their campaign at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The Nigerian U-17 women’s national team landed in Casablanca at 10:16 a.m. local time on Wednesday, equivalent to 11:16 a.m. Nigerian time, marking the beginning of the team’s final preparations for the global tournament.
The Flamingos are expected to settle into their base before stepping up preparations for the competition, with the coaching crew focusing on tactical organisation, player fitness and team cohesion ahead of their opening fixture.
The tournament represents another opportunity for Nigeria’s highly rated age-grade women’s team to compete on the world stage after years of impressive performances at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
